Celebrate the Best at Inn Victoria, Chester Vermont

We celebrate many happy events at Inn Victoria; after all, most people want only the best for their special moments in life.  Why not choose Vermont's "Best Romantic Bed and Breakfast", Inn Victoria as named by Yankee Magazine in 2009.  Tami & Ed Caporaso have done just that!....when Tami turned 50...(she fooled me, she looks 29), She and Ed, along with great friends, celebrated at Inn Victoria and had a fantastic time!  Ed is a smart man.  He made sure there were flowers, wine, chocolates....Tami LOVES chocolate, cake, friends and lots of fun to have through the entire time they were here!  They had such a great time that it was hard for Penny and me to stay out of the celebration....so we joined right in!  I love a great party!

Here are a few photos of Tami, Ed, friends............oh, and a very nice tea cup the Caporaso's sent to us a few weeks later as a thank you gift.  We have added it to our tea cup collection and it brings joy to someone each time it is used in a High Tea at Inn Victoria in Chester VT.

Lanier B&B.com Awarded Inn Victoria, a Chester Vermont Bed and Breakfast, over 8500 other B&B's Worldwide for High Tea.  This 2011 award for our High Tea is categorized by Lanier B&B.com as "Best Afternoon Complementary Snack".   "I would never have thought last May when we started doing High Tea, that it would be as successful as it has been"; says Penny Cote, the CEO of Inn Victoria.  "We started High Tea as a means of marketing the Inn, and although we expected it to advertise the Inn, we never thought it would be an award winner"

Our High Tea stays to the true English tradition of a mid afternoon tea with Savories, Scones & Sweets.  With over 30 different teas from around the world to choose from, and a bountiful three tiered tray of delicious treats, there is no wonder High Tea at Inn Victoria has been awarded this distinguished award!

The Mill Tavern in Londonderry VT is recommended by Inn Victoria

Inn Victoria, Southern Vermont's Romantic Okemo Valley Lodging recommends The Mill Tavern in Londonderry as one of the "BEST" places to eat in the Okemo Valley region!  Some readers of this blog already know Dan's love of great restaurants, and has blogged about several in the last year.  Although The Mill Tavern has been on our list of favored restaurants to visit, we've not had the time until this last weekend.  WOW, what an original Vermont experience! 

A life long artist, and 40+ year restaurantor, Ed Brown has transformed this old mill house building into an active museum of years gone by, filled with thousands of antiques, sketches and painting of his work.  The incredible experience starts with a walk into the main dining room...the large fire place is ALL VERMONT.  If you are there early enough you can get the front seat directly in front of it.  If you come later, your seat can be in the barn bar room where a very large bar and fun await you while waiting for a dining seat. 

Oh....the food?  Well lets put it this way.  This is definitely on Inn Victoria's BEST list! I had duck and Penny had steak....both meals were perfect.  I can't wait to go back.  When we do return, we will do so with friends, show up on a weekend  when the place is very busy so that we can enjoy the Barn Bar atmosphere prior to dinner!  Ed personally meets each of his guests...that alone is an experience!

Breakfast Recipies from Inn Victoria, a Chester, Vermont Bed and Breakfast

So many of our guests want Penny's recipes.  The most sought after recipe from this romantic Okemo Valley Lodging is the Inn Victoria Eggs Benedict entree, with a prelude of fresh blueberry or raspberry muffin, a second course of fruit under lemon curd and vanilla bean Greek style yogurt and granola.  Yummmmmy!!
Here is a list of the ingredients:

1.  One square of a Pillsbury pastry dough
2.  Grated cheese of your choice....Dan prefers a cheese mix of
 WAAWWE Jersey Girl, Grafton and Taylor Farm
3.  Fresh tomato slices
4.  Fresh asparagus spears
5.  One day fresh, poached chicken egg
6.  Home made hollandaise sauce meyer lemons
7.  The ham? ....of course it is VT cured ham

Chester, Vermont Bed and Breakfast Inn Victoria, Celebrates First Year Annaversary

Can you imagine this little Romantic Okemo Valley Lodging, Inn Victoria, is one of the top rated B&B's in the country and we have been blessed to celebrate our first year of ownership!  Penny and I are thrilled and have expressed our appreciation to the hundreds of partners and neighbors in the Okemo Valley through a full page ad in the Vermont Journal. 

In May, we introduced High Tea as a means of getting local people from the Okemo Valley into the Inn for a look, just to give them a chance to see the inside and introduce them to a friendly neighbor.  Not only has that niche caught on with locals, but it has been a huge success with people from all over the east coast who now come with the anticipation of High Tea as a special part of their stay with us.  Within a couple of weeks we will be announcing a national award for our High Tea...stay tuned.

Since we launched our web site in July, our business  volume shot up 20%.  This is a direct result of an awesome partnership with Acorn Internet Services.  This one business decision alone was vital and has paid off.
