In Mid May, Vermont's Best Romantic Getaway & Bed and Breakfast, Inn Victoria, hosted a work weekend. The goal was to invite friends of Inn Victoria who had a desire to help with spring maintenance and beautification projects. The team of 16 got a lot accomplished, and we all had a great time! One of our guests, Linda Orlomoski, placed this listing in her blog.....incredible!
Linda said;
"A few weeks back, my youngest daughter Jamie and I had the chance to travel to the small town of Chester, Vermont which touts itself as "The Vermont you've been hoping to find. The town with a heart located in the heart of Vermont." Honestly? They're right! I was just as enchanted with the town I was in as I was of the Bed & Breakfast where we spent the weekend - the Inn Victoria.
Located directly on Main Street, USA, er, Main Street in Chester, the Inn Victoria was built circa 1850 as the private residence of Doctor Abram Lowell whose name graces a nearby lake and State Park. Dr. Lowell conducted his medical practice in a small building next to the main house which is now known as Dr. Brown's cottage. The building is currently being used as a bicycle rental shop but is undergoing renovations to become a cozy family retreat that should be available for use towards the end of this year. Located just steps away from the main house you can just see it to the right of the picture above. Once renovations are done I've got no doubt that it's going to be just as lovely as the rest of the house is!"

Inn Victoria, a Romantic Vermont Bed and Breakfast Welcomes Stellafane Guests
Inn Victoria, a Romantic Vermont Bed & Breakfast, welcomes Stellafane guests back to Vermont. Last year we had such fun with our Stellafane guests that we decided to put together a Very special package for the 2011 Stellafane conference. Inn Victoria is only eight miles from the big event, July 28 - 31.
Stellafane's Vermont Vacation Package at Inn Victoria: Stay three nights and get 50% off the fourth & fifth night. Pick an evening you are free and enjoy wine and Vermont cheese on the front porch......our treat!
This year's Keynote Speakers will be the Meteorite Men.....Cool!
The following photo was taken in what year? It truly is a unique and outstanding perspective. The question is, what year?....and who took the photo? If you are a guest of Inn Victoria and you are the first to affirmatively define the answer to both questions, I will personally award you with a bottle of Inn Victoria's finest wine. Only one catch...I get to drink it with you. :)

Inn Victoria Recommends The Black Rock Steakhouse in Springfield, VT
Inn Victoria, Vermont’s Best rated Romantic Bed and Breakfast, recommends The Black Rock Steakhouse in Springfield, VT for a very good reason…It is the BEST steakhouse I’ve ever eaten at in VT. Sounds a bit over the top; you say? Not at all. I’ve eaten at some of the world’s finest steakhouses and I can assure you that the Black Rock Steakhouse rivals the best of the best in VT.

My haddock was perfect…the fish was definitely fresh from the Boston docks. You’ll love the full salad bar to complement the meal. This is a very good quality salad bar with very good selections that are appropriately replenished.
Enjoy the pictures. The restaurant has been open for about 8 weeks now and I’ve been twice with plans to return soon. I really like this place!

Inn Victoria, “The Ultimate Bed and Breakfast Experience”
Inn Victoria, a romantic, Vermont bed and breakfast“, receives Fantastic reviews on Tripadvisor.
"Each new Tripadvisor review we receive"; says Penny Cote, owner of Inn Victoria, is a blessing for us. The following was posted yesterday.
The Inn Victoria in Chester Vermont is as idyllic a bed and breakfast inn as you’ll find anywhere. Nestled in south central Vermont, Chester is the quintessential small New England town. Several interesting retail shops, reasonably priced local restaurants and a village green are all within walking distance from the Inn. The famous Vermont Country Store, beautiful scenery and historical points of interest are just a short drive away.
While everything mentioned might be considered to be tempting inducements to visit this little gem of an Inn the most tempting of all are the people who operate the Inn Victoria. Inn keepers Dan and Penny Cote their cute-as-a-button daughter Rachel and their ever-perky helper Jessica are exactly the kind of people that cause my wife and I to choose a bed and breakfast over a hotel every time we plan a long weekend away. They were born to do this! Friendly and hospitable are just the beginning. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their little corner of the world and more than eager to cater to the wishes of their guests these folks get it and by get it I mean they know relaxation is the whole point of the bed and breakfast experience and they more than provide it. I would certainly be remiss not to point out the culinary abilities of the girls who rule the kitchen especially Penny. The breakfasts served to the guests here are Fabulous and the capital F was not a typo. Also the High Tea served on weekend afternoons is another gastronomic delight that is well beyond the mundane afternoon tea served at most other bed and breakfast inns
The Inn itself as its name implies features Victorian architecture and décor each room is named for Royal Family members such as Prince Albert or Princess Beatrice and the accommodations are certainly fit for a Prince or Princess. In addition to the comfortable parlor my favorite place was the front porch equipped with rocking chairs and a wind chime it was the perfect place for evening conversation and a glass of wine.
If you haven’t already guessed I highly recommend the Inn Victoria as a peaceful get away destination with its ideal location, wonderful innkeepers and inherent beauty of the Inn itself it has all the ingredients for that perfect weekend.

Vermont Weddings at Inn Victoria, a Romantic Bed & Breakfast
Plan to hold your Vermont Wedding at Inn Victoria, a romantic Bed & Breakfast. In 2009, Inn Victoria was awarded Yankee Magazine's "Editors' Choice Best Romantic Bed & Breakfast". Although, a very beautiful and romantic bed and breakfast, intimate weddings were not a part of the business plan at that time. Since receiving this prestigious award, Inn Victoria set out to develop a niche for Intimate Vermont Weddings.
"We've hosted several intimate weddings since receiving this award and have indeed developed a very special reputation for Intimate Vermont Weddings" says Penny, owner of Inn Victoria. "Our Romantic, 160 year old Victorian Bed and Breakfast is loved by many a bride because of its true Victorian charm, perfect bedding's, spacious / luxurious baths, and the quintessential Vermont village just a few footsteps out the front door.
March was a very special month at Inn Victoria; hosting two weddings in the parlor, and two engagements! Take a look at these photos!.....oh, and don't forget to check out the Wedding section of the Web site.
